The power of FREE
A little under a year ago, I got a great deal on web hosting from Dreamhost.com. They were having an anniversary sale and offering a year of service for $0.77/Mo.
It was an insanely great deal.
I had been paying about $10/Mo. previously, so I snatched that offer up immediately. Well, they say all good things come to an end. And sadly, I just got an email saying that my credit card would be billed $119.40 on May 10th for the next year of service.
Yikes! And no thanks!
My wife and I both have blogs and photo collections going on our server space. And while it'd be nice to stay... the free offerings of Flickr, Wordpress.com, Blogger, and others are just too good to be ignored.
We'll be making the move soon. Goodbye lechoso.com... Goodbye foobish.org... It was a fun ride. You'll always have special places in my ... well the sectors on my hard drive.
I think I'll turn this space into journal of my random Guild Wars adventures. For all things 'real life' (read: family photos), I'll be using http://bish.wordpress.com/.
I think I'll just move here. Joey photos, Martha quotes, and GW shots. All in one place.
